Street Dog Show

Was intense.

It wasn't a big crowd but it was enough to get rowdy and crazy. Here's what the Street Dogs are, a big local band in every town they play in. Basically picture the best punk band in Phoenix playing a show at the Clubhouse, but every town they go to they're like that. It is the first time I've seen them play a full set, and this being my fourth time seeing them. I can't say that about Against Me!, and I've seen them the same amount of times.

We got there when the doors opened at 6:30, and we kind of were expecting a bigger crowd, but my predictions were wrong. There was little, to no one there and I was able to get to the front of the stage, and center. There was this chick that came up to the front of the stage and we started talking. She was very attractive, but there's always a catch with these girls I meet at concerts. She was very much interested in me, but I found out a fact that I didn't like, and was a big turn off. She apparently has two kids. I don't think she is married either. 24, and two kids, damn. I felt ind of bad because I think she might have been hurt by the fact I stopped talking to her. She seems like someone that has been scorned many a time by guys.

Anyways...

Street Dogs went on and it started getting nuts. Flatfoot 59 bgot the crowd warmed up nicely. They put on a great show. They are very tight live, and very drunk (not really). There was a lot of beer on stage. I got showered by Mike's PBR before one of the songs. I had a fear of driving home and smelling like beer. Was able to jump up on stage, now a stage dive kind of show not really enough people do do that. Although people did, this one HUGE native guy did and ultimately the crowd could not hold his weight. Then after the show I got to speak with Mike about the fire department, seeing how he was a Boston firefighter before he started the Street Dogs. I told him that I wanted to go back and join the FDNY, he said to me that it is the hreatest job you can have and it is a good dream and that I should follow it. Good guy, you can actually have a conversation with him. Talked about a few other things too.

So that was the Dogs concert. Next up, Bad Religion. The year of punk rock concerts moves forward!-SS
