My dystopian novel idea...
Story is set in the near future say maybe 40 or 50 years. It is a pre-WWIII society that is introduced. US and the EU have joined forces to form one giant nation, (not all of Russia joins, some parts go back to Communist like government circa 1955,) and the government has a massive Christan influence as seen in the extreme right of today. Certain rights have been taken away and such, massive privatization, religious restrictions. The world in the story is turned upside down when we are attacked by a rogue middle east country which forms a modernized version of axis-like powers.
Just use that as a trailer for what else I will add onto. Just a basic plot outline. Unlike in 1984 the war is real, and we have to face a change and take a look at our mistakes we have made, and realize the monster we have become.
